The conference oral sessions will be in Alexander Hall/Richardson Auditorium. Conceived as an academic and cultural temple, the Alexander Hall exterior showcases intricate artwork that reflects the University’s intellectual ideals. The interior features a Tiffany Glass mosaic titled “Homeric Story” was designed by J.A. Holzer, and depicts scenes from Homer’s “The Iliad” and “The Odyssey.” Please follow the links for close ups of the artwork in this beloved landmark. Chancellor Green (used for reception / poster sessions) was dedicated in May 1873 as the first purpose-built library on the campus. The symmetrical building features strong geometric forms, rich ornamentation, and a marvelous octagonal rotunda with a ceiling that is one of the most striking structures on campus.
The Tiger Transit bus service operates around the campus. For participants staying at the Marriot Courtyard Hotel, this offers an additional option. The Forrestal line
stops at Lakeview apartments behind the Marriot Courtyard Hotel Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM. There is also an interactive map showing the bus routes and real time bus locations.
